Reading List—Civil War America

It is important that the student allot sufficient time to complete all the assignments.  On average a student should be working two to three hours outside of class for each hour in class.  That means for this three-hour history class, you should be working six to nine hours a week outside class.  Since this is an online course, students should be working on their own at least nine-to-twelve hours a week.  That means taking effective notes from the reading, exploring the websites posted on my website, and exploring the Internet on your own to bring new material to the learning process.
